IS THE NORTH ATLANTIC HEAT TRANSFER SHUTTING DOWN?

There is a "cold spot" area of the North Atlantic that processes heat....  In this video by PBS which I'm linking to, an explanation on how this works is given.

HURRICAINES - MANATEES - and DISPLACED BEACHES - EARTH CHANGES

A double whammy of intense Hurricanes hit the southern United States in recent weeks, and if you're like me, you followed the news closely, and learned that the water these storms took up and deposited elsewhere created dramatic changes, such as whole beaches gone missing, displaced manatees that had to be hauled back into water, and many other earth changes.  I've seen articles that suggest that birds have relocated inland and so should people.  The destruction was expensive and had effected millions, be it that the power is still out or that their homes are ruined.  Yet another expert said these storms were good for our economy, since there will be employment in the rebuilding.

There are so very many links to explore about hurricanes.

SPRING - SEASONAL CHANGE - EARTH CHANGE

Spring has arrived officially on our calander with the Spring Soltice on March 20/21 2014, but spring has arrived early if you feel the warm to hot air temperature and see that some trees and plants are blooming early here in Southern California.  If it can reach 90 in early March, what will the summer be like?  Temperatures in the 100's are hard to bear and no doubt with higher air temperature comes higher water temperature in our streams, rivers, lakes, and oceans.

Much of California is in drought and there are reports of severe water shortages in areas where the farmers grow food for the entire nation.  Since they will either have to buy water from other areas or not plant, we can expect even higher food prices.

Global Warming seems to be a reality, but yet much of the United States has had a long and bitterly cold winter... so I prefer the term EARTH CHANGES or WEATHER PATTERN CHANGES.

Here at SIREN'S LINK TO SEA, ocean ecology is an important topic.

JUNE GLOOM AND SMOG

A massive tornado hits the ground running and cuts a 16 miles path of destruction, followed by other smaller tornados that are just as mean.  The Daunube River of Europe is flooding, effecting 10 countries today.

And here in Southern California there is "June Gloom"  (a sort of foggy smoggyness that lingers mornings obscuring the sun, that "burns through") miles inland from the Pacific Ocean.  Boring compared to all that.

I feel lucky to live in Earthquake land at this point.

Of course, there are Earthquakes under the ocean waters too, which is what creates Tsunamis.

Every time there's a big enough Earthquake here,  thousands of people make promises to themselves that they don't keep like moving away or wearing their clothes to bed, or buying all plastic dishware.

Feeling lazy today!
