HAPPY THIRD BIRTHDAY TO SIRENS LINK TO SEA!

Can I believe it? I started this blog THREE years ago! In that time it seems that awareness about ocean ecology has increased quite a bit! I hope this blog has been a small part of that increasing awareness. As I page through old posts I see some good stuff. Most of the links are still active and informative.

These days I've been obsessed with the story that's all over the news about the Cruise Ship called the Costa Concordia which is laying off the coast of Italy on it's side after over 4000 people successfully got to shore, but in which at least 17 people died, with a dozen or so unaccounted for. The ship contains fuel that must be removed so that it doesn't pollute the waters which are brimming with sea life including whales. Estimates about how long it will take to remove this oil and the ship are that it could take as long as a whole year.

Over the next few months I'll be looking at the old posts and checking links and will possibly be moving to a new Google Blogger Template, with an emphasis on a side bar that will move you to those links. You can check on Pages to see where I am in the undating.

As usual, if you have any ideas, suggestions, or comments, please leave them for me!
