THE REEF, subtitle, PRAY THAT YOU DROWN FIRST, is an Australian film, based on the true story of a man named Ray Boundy, who was the only survivor of a boat wreck. A group of people out for a pleasure cruise intended to deliver a boat, finds themselves taking the risk of swimming about twelve miles to Turtle Island, but in doing so they face Great White sharks. This film is said to be scarier than Jaws, but it wasn't to me and it seemed to stop too short. I kept wondering what was going to happen when they got to Turtle Island which appeared to be in the distance. It was still worth watching though.
I thought about survival at sea and survival of ship wrecks and surviving on deserted islands.
The film was put out in 2012 by Lightening Entertainment and Screen Australia.
