July 2009 has a two page photo spread on the "Bright Young Fins" who are in this month's U.S. Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California. No longer Gidget stereotypes (though for the photo spread only two have more on that a bikini, featured are Sierra Partridge, Sofia Mulanovich, Leila Hurst, Alana Blachard, Malia Manuel, Sally Fitzgibbons, Coco Ho, Laura Enever, Sage Erickson, Quincy Davis, Courtnay Conlogue, and Hailey Partridge.
We're so happy that women in surfing are finally getting profiles, endorsements, and prizes, a little closer to the rewards men surfers do!
